Woburn, MA USA – January 17, 2006: Paragon Imaging, Inc, leading developers of satellite imagery exploitation software announced today that they have been acquired by Overwatch Systems of Morristown, N.J The acquisition, which was finalized on November 30 2005, will not affect the company’s day-to-day operations or overall focus. Paragon’s management team will continue to run the operation from the Woburn location. The Paragon Imaging name will be phased out and the organization will be known as Overwatch Systems – Boston Operations. The Boston Operation will be part of Overwatch’s Geospatial Operations headquartered in Sterling, VA.
Overwatch Systems, combines the resources of several companies including Austin IT Systems, Sensor Systems, ITSpatial and now Paragon Imaging to provide a suite of integrated geospatial fusion software tools for the defense/intelligence community called the Overwatch Intelligence Center (OIC). The OIC focuses on providing situational awareness by enabling analysts to generate relevant, actionable intelligence faster and more effectively for the warfighter, first responder and decision maker.
Paragon’s ELT® (Electronic Light Table) series software is the most widely-used commercial image processing software among government analysts. Ideally suited for Overwatch’s OIC, the ELT series software, enables users to easily view and exploit digital imagery, link associated information with imagery, and share analyses with decision makers and other imagery users. The ELT series spans a full range of capabilities, from high-powered image exploitation and GIS functionality, to image viewing software.
