PARAGON IMAGING ANNOUNCES LATEST 64-bit VERSION OF ELT/5500

Woburn, MA USA – May 23, 2005: Paragon Imaging, Inc, leading developers of image exploitation software announced today that they have ported their ELT/5500 software application to the Microsoft Windows XP x64 Edition operating system. Formally launched by Microsoft last month, Windows XP x64 Edition ushers in a new era by breaking the 2 GB memory barrier that constrained earlier versions of Windows.

A consistent leader in 64 bit technology, Paragon Imaging shipped the first 64 bit version of ELT/5500, which supported the Intel Itanium processor, back in 2003. Since that time the market has shifted, and Paragon Imaging is pleased to announce its second generation of 64 bit applications which now supports Intel Xeon and AMD Opteron processors.

Ideally suited for memory intensive applications such as image exploitation, the 64-bit architecture offers superior performance, scalability and large memory addressability than current 32-bit platforms. In fact, many tasks on the 64-bit platform are up to 30% faster than on the 32-bit platform.

Paragon Imaging has worked closely with HP and nVidia to insure top notch performance on this platform. The 64 bit version of ELT/5500 has been extensively tested on both Intel and AMD processors, using the HP xw8200 and xw9300 workstations and a variety of nVidia Quadro FX graphics cards.

ELT/5500 is the most comprehensive image exploitation package available on the market today. Developed to meet the demanding needs of users at the national level, ELT/5500 fuses advanced image processing functionality with GIS mapping support. In addition to being NITF-Certified, ELT/5500 supports a long list of commercial and government file formats. With over 2000 users, ELT/5500 is a proven performer and an essential tool for imagery professionals.

The 64 bit version of ELT/5500 is currently in Beta testing and will be available this summer.
